Banishing The Hurt | 03.06.13

I recently attended a Sunday Night FLOW worship service that featured some phenomenal ministry in song from Kevin Levar, David and Nicole Binion, and Myron Williams.  It was indeed a powerful time of worship, as the presence of GOD there was evident.  Even after the service ended, the Holy Spirit continued to minister to me.  I posted the following status update on Facebook shortly after awaking the next morning.
Elton Taylor believes unforgiveness will stall a breakthrough worse than a broken timing belt does a car. Yes, the battery has power; but what good is having power when you can't move forward? With that being said, I encourage you to replace that broken belt with one of wholeness so GOD can redeem the time during which you've been empowered but motionless. Now is the time to forgive and let go of the hurtful feelings you've been experiencing for far too long. Now is the time to evict from your mind each painful memory and break free from every mentally tortuous reminder of what happened. Now is the time to dissolve any desire for revenge and to sever from yourself all planned attempts for recompense once the truth surfaces. Your breakthrough depends on the forgiveness YOU extend, so let the healing begin that you might live.

Too often we undervalue forgiveness and the impact it plays on our ability to see manifested breakthrough in our lives.  We strive to move forward, yet we find ourselves making little or no progress as a result of withholding forgiveness.  So something must be done about this, something more than praying and waiting on GOD.  Our faith must be put to work.  Therefore, this is how you know there is unforgiveness in your life: HURT.  If you feel hurt over ANYTHING (no matter how long ago or recent the occurrence), then you have successfully identified WHY you're unable to move forward.  THIS is the broken timing belt in your "life-mobile".

In case you didn't know, hurt people hurt people.  And if you can agree with THAT, then consider THIS: why then would GOD promote or elevate you in your hurtful state?  So you can be blessed to hurt others?  Not so.  We're blessed to be a blessing, not to be in a position to hurt even more people than we could before.  Stop allowing what's hurting you to hinder you.  GET HEALED!  Don't be like the lame man at the pool of Bethesda who made excuses when Jesus asked, "What do you want me to do for you?"  If healing is available and being offered to you, then why are you describing your condition and why you're still feeling hurt?  Let's pray...

Father, I come to you now with my brothers and sisters who are hurting.  At this point, it matters not what caused these hurtful feelings to arise.  We are here thanking You that healing is available to us!  Those who are tired of hurting, Father, are here at Your throne in expectation of receiving Your grace to help in their time of need, so they can let these feelings go and move forward.  I'm standing with each one of them, Father, in support of their choice to forgive as You have forgiven us.  We wield the power that You've given us, Father, and come against the spirit of fear and bind it now in the name of Jesus.  We loose love, power and soundness of mind to minister to each of these precious people even now as they are reading this blog.  For the culture of Your Kingdom, O GOD, is one in which we prosper, even as our souls prosper, according to 3 John 2.  So we declare prosperity now over our minds, will and emotions that we may physically experience prosperity in the same proportion as our souls.  WE ARE victorious over unforgiveness and breakthrough is rushing our way because we have taken authority over hurt and banished it from our souls.  And for this, Most High GOD, we give You glory and praise!  Blessed be Your name, Eternal King! AMEN!
