Have you ever asked GOD to increase your faith? I have asked Him in times past to do so because of my own perceived inability to accomplish various things. Over the years, I've learned that the faith we've been given is all the faith we need (Romans 12:3); but it profits us nothing when we fail to exercise it. All of us are guilty of having faith without corresponding works. We have believed, at some point or another, and then failed to follow through on what we accepted as real and true for our lives. Whether it was to move forward in launching a business idea, pursuing continued education, or even going forth in a call to ministry, among many other things, the measure of faith we've all been given was--for whatever reason--not deployed to manifest what we envisioned.
It's plain to see that there lies for us a noticeable disconnect between visualization and realization, when it comes to manifesting the invisible. No matter how hard we believe and get excited about what we have believed, nothing productive results when our faith is not exercised. To not employ the measure of faith we've been given and yet expect something of value to be produced is lunatical. But that's exactly what we do time and time again. Exactly how do we get past the mystery of employing our faith? What motivates us to take GOD-directed action in the face of situations that seem to be out of our control? It is only by the power of the Holy Ghost that we are able to place one foot in front of the other when attempting to transport Heaven's ideas to the Earth realm.
Scripture teaches us (in Jude 20-21) that praying in the Holy Ghost build us up on our most holy faith. Praying in one's heavenly language as opposed to praying in a native tongue has traditionally been a rather controversial topic, but the controversy only exists because people choose to perpetuate it. GOD's Word is clear regarding this most holy practice. When the Bible says praying in the Holy Ghost build us up, that literally means to finish the structure of which the foundation has already been laid. This can be plainer understood as us being given constant increase in Christian knowledge and, in turn, exhibiting a lifestyle that confirms the receipt of such. When we are built up on the measure of faith we've been given, our confidence in both GOD's ability and desire to fulfill His Word is intensified. It is this heightened confidence that becomes the impetus for us to walk out the very plan of GOD for our lives, operating and moving with absolutely no fear of failure. And since the walk of faith is all about MOVING FORWARD in that built up confidence, praying in the Holy Ghost explicitly serves to motivate in us the bold and decisive, GOD-directed action that never fails at bringing visions to pass.
